Got BlogNow that you have a blog-site, it’s time you start using it to grow your business. If you receive plenty of inquires, request for proposals, and calls generated from your website, there is no need for you to read further.

But if your site just sits there, now might be the time to turn it into a marketing asset for your business. Your blog can serve you well if managed properly.

Just like Twitter, Facebook, and other Social Sites, YOU can use YOUR Blog to create (one to many) media messages which are immensely more effective than direct mail or email campaigns. Of course you will need readers (fans and followers), so your blog content must be interesting to your defined target market. Before you set out to build traffic to your site, you should give consideration to visitor conversion.

What is the real purpose of your blog?

The ultimate purpose of your blog is to attract new clients or customers. Some visitors may not be ready to convert right away. Consequently, you will want to encourage even a minimal interest by helping people become followers or fans that may eventually turn into word of mouth advertising or eventual clients.

The 5 most important elements to increase your blog conversion rates are:

  • Audio
  • Video
  • Pictures
  • Movement
  • Interaction

Try to incorporate each of these elements to hold the interest of your readers and drive conversion at a level they are comfortable with. Always have the option for immediate direct conversion into a new client inquiry or even a service purchase if you offer one. For others, offer the options to follow your blog through RSS and Email Subscriptions. Also provide links to related and/or continued reading involving further immersion into your blog-site.
