Use A Blog To Attract New Customers

Blog for Business

A BLOG IS NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT! Or is it?

A traditional advertisement needs to gain your attention, capture your interest, create a desire for your product, and encourage you to act on it. Is a blog post all that much different?

Construct your blog post in such a manner that it attracts your target client, feeds the internet search engine for desired content producing relevant back-links, and make sure that each post has a easy follow-up call to action. Do this in an interesting and readable post and you have a more effective and targeted advertisement than producing a traditional ad.

5 tips to creating an effective selling blog

  • Your blog must be organized and hosted for search optimization.
  • Your post must be easily read by both humans and search robots.
  • A purpose or call to action must be planned for.
  • A regular off-site effort must be made to drive traffic.
  • Periodic refinement and updates should be made from lessons learned.

Will your blog produce a Return On Investment?

Internet SearchIf you do not create and maintain an effective business blog, you can be sure that you will eventually encounter a competitor that will. Internet search is quickly gaining popularity enough to become a standard method for customers to find and verify their product and service choices. Avoid adding a blog to your advertising media mix at your own peril.

The process is relatively simple if you will make a little effort to learn how. If you do not have the time to do it yourself, then you should consider hiring someone to do it for you. Allow a portion of you advertising and marketing budget to this all important component that will help you attract more narrowly targeted new customers.
