Do You Have A Social Media Sales Strategy?

The new media has created the need for a new sales process. And that new sales process can only be executed with an appropriate marketing strategy that includes social media.

Whereas before you went looking for leads, today your leads will find you, or find your competitor if you have not created your own social media sales strategy.

As we know, nobody uses the yellow pages to find local services anymore. We all use the internet and search for the solutions to our desires and needs. So, it all begins with search and getting found, standing out among the crowd, and making it easy for your lead to connect with you and convert to a customer.

The first key to a successful business or a professional practice is getting CUSTOMERS !

You’ll have a better chance of getting them if they can find you in the new media reality of today. And they won’t find you unless you have taken the time and invested in creating your own social media sales and marketing strategy.

What are the first steps you should take to create your social media sales strategy?

  1. Purchase two domains to use as your base of operations in the digital world of the internet. Your name and your business name will be the foundation for your subtle sales strategy. Think of them as your digital business card and storefront. They should be a reflection of your real world biz card and place of business.

  2. Find a good business coach or consultant that can guide you through the process of establishing an effective online brand that will attract new leads that you can convert into customers, clients, or referral partners. The basic choice factor should be, do they walk their own talk? Are they using key word marketing techniques themselves effectively, sometime referred to as SEO?

  3. Decide if you are going to take the DIY (Do It Yourself) approach to new media marketing or hire a service to represent you. Think about creating and printing your own advertising materials vs. hiring an advertising agency that will create approved advertising campaigns for you. It’s the same same discipline. You either have to do it yourself (by learning and doing) or hire someone to do it for you. Consider your ultimate business objectives.

There are many more details or steps that you must take to create your own online social media sales strategy but these are the first choices that will help determine your ultimate business success.
